This project involved the construction of a 42,000-litre in-ground concrete tank, requiring careful sequencing of excavation, formwork, reinforcement and pour to produce a watertight structure fit for purpose.
The tank construction required the use of a larger excavator to reach depth and manage volumes, alongside a smaller machine for confined work around the formwork. Concrete placement was sequenced to manage pour volumes and ensure consistent compaction throughout the structure.
Waterproofing and sealing followed the initial pour, with backfill and reinstatement completed on schedule.
